This Betamax can store the outgoing video, which can later be recalled as a single frame. Pressing the STOP MOTION button during playback freezes that video frame and places it in memory. Pushing the DIGITAL OFF button returns playback to normal viewing. To recall the video just stored, push the RECALL button, and it will be displayed. To go back to normal playback, push the digital off button again. When the effect is canceled during normal playback the tape will have moved forward since it has continued to run.
