This digital Betamax can produce a mosaic effect in three block levels. While viewing the playback of a TV program or a picture from the LINE IN, pressing the MOSAIC ART button will cause the picture to display a block pattern that Sony calls Mosaic Art. The size of the mosaic pieces can be controlled by pressing the EFFECT + / – buttons. When the effect is canceled during normal playback, it will resume, and the tape will have moved forward since it has continued to run. In the case of a TV program or line in, the incoming content will have advanced. Note: Can be activated when a freeze picture is displayed in stop-motion, flash-motion, and recall modes.
