The included wired remote duplicates function button operations. 4-digit electronic tape counter with memory stop. Dew sensor with front panel indicator. Like most Sanyo Betas it unthreads the tape prior to performing rewind and fast forward. The tape moves inside the cassette shell during those modes. The VCR 4500 can play and record standard Beta in speeds  and  . It can also play tapes recorded in Betahi-fi (but not in stereo). Tapes recorded in SuperBeta will play but they might exhibit picture noise. To examine a Beta format compatibility chart click here.
