During its 15 year run the Beta format underwent a number of improvements. The first big upgrade was to its audio. Sony's introduction of Beta<b>hi-fi</b> ushered in a new plateau for stereo recording. Next came <i>Super</i>Beta, which sharpened Betas already superior picture by another 20%. When combined with Beta<b>hi-fi</b> it was the marriage of the best, called <i>Super</i>Beta<b>hi-fi</b>. Shown here are the models listed by those advancements.
