The only Beta models I service and repair are designed to operate using the common American analog broadcast system, known as NTSC 3.58. The USA is digital now but some counties still use this standard. To confuse things there are broadcast standards other than NTSC. I DO NOT service or repair these type Beta VCRs. These Betas operate using a totally different broadcast standard from the one once used in the USA. Disqualified from service are devices that use the PAL broadcast system types B, D, G, H, I, K, M and N or the SECAM broadcast system types B, D, G, H, I, K, K1, M and N, also excluded is NTSC 4.43. I also DO NOT repair or sell VHS, S-VHS, VHS-HiQ, D-VHS, V-cord, Betacam, BetacamSP, Betacam IMX, Digital Betacam, U-matic, Quadruplex, DVCAM, 8MM, Hi8, Digital8, Video8, mini DV, MicroMV, VX, DCT, Akai, Quasar, Grundig, Philips, Cartrivision, Videodisc, Laservision or reel-to-reel video or audio recorders. I DO NOT work on the devices I just listed and do not know who does. I only repair, recondition, refurbish, buy and sell NTSC Beta VCRs that can be used in the USA. To see a graphic that shows all of the Beta VCR manufacturers click here. It is a short list. For a chart that shows the TV standards around the world listed by country click here.
