This high-end Beta has simulated wood decorative side panels. These indicated that this Betamax belongs to Sony's (latest) family of exclusive high-quality recorders. These richly patterned imitation wood panels came standard with the Extended Definition Beta EDV-7300, EDV-7500, EDV-9300 and the premium SuperBetahi-fi SL-HF870D. The first Sony Betas, along with those made by others, came with imitation wood panels.
