The SLO-1800 has three front mounted illuminated VU type (volumetric unit) meters for monitoring various playback and recording levels. Going from left to right is the video level/RF meter that is used to monitor the incoming signal strength and RF output. It can also be used during playback to adjust the tracking for the optimum picture. In the center is the meter for adjusting and monitoring the monaural playback and recording level.
