This is an adjustment that compensates for inconsistencies that are sometimes present in monitors when viewing a still pause or step-motion picture. If it seems to shake using this adjustment will help to stabilize the picture. This adjustment is usually only needed once as long as the same monitor is used. It can be located on the back, under the tuning lid or behind the component door.
