For this Betahi-fi model, you can choose to listen to only the left or right channel of a stereo playback. The STEREO/L-CH/R-CH switch provides the following options. Select STEREO, and Betahi-fi plays from both the left and right audio out connectors. Selecting L-CH (left channel) and sound recorded from the left channel plays from both connectors. The same goes for selecting the R-CH (right channel) playback. If the recording is in monaural and plays from the linear (conventional) track, the switch has no effect.
