Here we are using the scope to see if the refurbished Beta passes the test and is able to reproduce the classic color bar pattern in style. Click on the picture and you'll see the stair step signal that is reproduced on the scope when the pattern is played after being recorded on the machine. What we want to see is the picture reproduced with clarity and crispness, with the white clip and dark clips subdued and operating (turning the light and dark areas off and on with out shadows) with the color reproduction true present and accounted for. If everything looks good then the beta is ready for further tests.
