The SL-HF2100 units that I offer come with two remotes. I include the original RMT-2100A touch screen remote and a friendlier RMT-124. The original matches the Betamax in design and function. It is essential for programming the clock, some special features and for making all timer recordings. The remote and Betamax actually communicate with each other during these settings and both will verify the data on their displays. Though lovely in design and ahead of its time this remote is a little awkward. Mainly because you have to switch between screens on the remote to get to the various operations, and that requires a learning curve. Once mastered you quickly decide that a more direct approach is what is needed to easily access the recorders more frequent functions. This is why I have included with my refurbished SL-HF2100 units an additional remote, the RMT-124. It has most of the operations you will need to successfully operate the SL-HF2100, and it is a lot friendlier.
