ROMAN NUMERAL ADDED TO
THE END OF A MODEL NUMBER

Production changes that did not alter the outward appearance of a particular Sanyo Beta are identified by a roman numeral. Most manufacturers make cost saving improvements or circuit design changes during a long run on a popular model. Sanyo sold a lot of these and made alterations to it along the way. About the only way to identify the changes between this and the original is to open it up and look inside. To see the technical changes requires the service manual. On some occasions the face might change slightly, it might get a special promo sticker or the cabinet might change a little in color. This would be done to help inventory control at the plant. This VCR 4670iII is almost identical to the VCR 4670.
