Next you are going to remove the pinch roller. Look at the photo below and locate the plastic retainer at the top of the pinch roller.
 Place
your fingernail underneath the washer and lift it off, be careful not
to lose it. Place it to the side for reuse later. Lift the pinch roller off
the mounting pin leaving the small spring beneath it in place. Take the
roller and place it between your thumb and index finger (or what ever
works for you) and roll it across a flat surface. It should not feel coarse
