The HVM-100 black and white camera is designed to be used with the HVS-2000 or HVS-2020 special effects generators. In addition to being an excellent monochrome camera it features an external sync switch. When this switch is set to external the camera synchronizes its picture with that of a second camera when coupled using the effects generator. This allows titles, drawings and other media to be inserted into the video being captured by the main camera. For example the main camera could record a color scene of a vacation location and the HVM-100 could then be used to insert a superimposed title page such as "Our Summer Vacation" into or over the scene.
