WIRED REMOTE

The RM-59W blue remote came standard with the blue SL-2300, the first of the slimline chassis designs. The remote was simple with few function but the cable was skinnier than the ones before it. This was because instead of hard wiring all the functions a decoder in the VCR was able to decipher changes in resistant coming from the remote when buttons were pressed and turned them into functions. From this remote you could only do pause or freeze and scan in forward or reverse. This remote could also be used with any of the 2300 series Beta VCRs.
