THE RX REMOTES

The RX (remote execution) wired remote interface opens up a whole range of ways to operate this VCR. An abundance of commands and functions are possible depending on the axillary device used. These are connected by plugging a cable onto the 33-pin REMOTE connector on the back of the VCR. Some controllers also have the RX-DATA plug. This additional socket connection allows coded communication with the VCR and tells it which operations to perform when using the RX-353 and RX-303 controllers, or similarly equipped device. Some only require using the 33-pin plug. A few of the controlled functions and added features are; location search, indexing, timer programming and more. For an in-depth look at these wonders go to the WIRED CONTROLLERS start page by clicking here Note: During some of the functions the tape speed will change and search will slow down. This is purposeful and not a malfunction. To see the RM-400 editor that can control two of these VCRs, click here.
