RCC-5C AND CONTROL P CONNECTORS.

The RCC-5C and Control P connectors are located on the back. The rectangular RCC-5C 33-pin connector on the right in the above photo is identified as REMOTE 1. The two phono plus on the right are REMOTE 2. The left plug accepts the 33 or 20 pin connector that comes from accessories like wired remotes, programmers or monitoring devices. It depends on the device used as to how the VCR responds and how much control is possible. REMOTE 2 is the port for control P operation. This allows the VCR to be networked into an array where it operates in unison along with a bunch of others SLO-1800s. By using the RM-S18 controller up to 50 of these duplicators can be operated at the same time. The two plugs are for receiving the same LANC code (Local ApplicatioN Control) used by Sony remotes. It is being sent from the RM-S18 and read by the VCRs. Either plug or both can be used because they wired together.
