Most Beta VCRs have a programmable timer that can be used to record (time bank) one or more standard broadcast VHF, UHF or cable channels over an extended period. Since the USA has now converted most of our network television stations over to digital this intelligent timer flexibility has become somewhat minimized. However, this lack of stations does not prevent the timer from scheduling recordings using the audio and video (A/V) LINE INPUT jacks. For timed recordings from an external source simply select LINE INPUT as your source and program the timer to begin the recording when requested. If this model has the "Quick Timer" option it can also be used with the A/V inputs.
