PRE-ROLL EDITING CHART
 Pre-roll editing uses two compatible VCRs joined together using a control-T cable. Up to eight segments can be located on the master tape and stored in the memory of the controlling recorder. Once programmed the slave recorder is placed in pause and START is then pressed on the master recorder. The master then finds each location and records it to the slave in the order requested. Both recorders the pre-roll the tapes at the locations and the edit occurs on the fly. The sequence for this action is illustrated in the graph above,
