UPGRADED PEAK METER

This SL-HF750 has an upgraded volume peak meter used for monitoring the incoming and recorded audio level. It replaces the factory original that is prone to failure. The picture above shows the meters appearance. A peak meter is a type of measuring instrument that indicates visually the instantaneous level of an audio signal that is being measured. It is meant to correspond to the perceived loudness of a particular signal. The reading is displayed in dB which stands for decibels. The scale is logarithmic which means the amplitude ratio is graduated in powers of ten, that is 10 = 10, 20 = 100, 30 = 1000, etc. For more on dB measurement click here (this panel will be replaced with another).
