This Japanese or multi-format Beta uses the 24 hour (military) clock timekeeping and setting the timer. It starts with midnight being designated as 000 (hours) or 0:00. Subsequent hours are displayed as 01:00 for 1:00 a.m., 02:00 for 2:00 a.m., etc. Noon is 12:00 hours, 13:00 hours is 1:00 PM, 14:00 hours 2:00 PM., etc. It can be operated in any time format so long as the difference between 12 hour USA civilian time is accounted for.
