Many Beta VCRs have a microphone input for adding external audio. It usually accompanies the audio dub feature. It records along the top edge of the tape using a stationary audio head. An erase head placed just before the audio head clears the tape of any previous recording prior to adding the new audio; video is not affected. The microphone input is usually located on the front of the VCR and can be either a 1/8 or 1/4 inch phone jack. Plugging into the jack disables regular audio recording. Microphone compatibility can vary, so it is recommended that the instruction manual be consulted prior to using. ©Misterßetamax go to homepage |
