Normally set to ON, the MPX filter switch is used when making recordings from a source other than regular TV. Set the selector as follows: OFF for recording the sound from a compact disk, record player, or any outside source. ON for recording FM radio broadcast programs (if the FM tuner is provided with an MPX filter, set its selector to OFF).
