This Betamax will accept the MLV-1100 multiplex adapter for receiving MTS stereo and SAP programs. There is a special phono (RCA) jack in the back identified as the MPX plug. This is where the MLV-1100 is attached using a standard audio cable. The multiplex adapter encodes stereo reception from off-the-air broadcasts. It also incorporates a stereo amplifier and terminals for attaching left and right 4-8 ohm speakers. L/R input/output audio jacks are also provided.
