This Betamax provides a switch on the front that is used to select the source to be recorded. The options are TUNER for recording the TV channels, LINE AUDIO, and LINE IN. When LINE IN is selected, both the audio and video inputs are recorded. If LINE AUDIO is selected, the sound from the LINE IN jack will be recorded, and video will come from the TUNER. If using AUDIO DUB or MIC (microphone), only the audio source is changed. Switch does not affect playback. The A/V cables can remain connected regardless of the switch position.
