This Beta VCR can reproduce a picture during rewind and fast forward. Since the tape stays in the tape path and around the video drum during these modes the video heads can be utilized to read the signal on the tape. The VCR then uses its digital processor to create a picture as the tape is going by. The video (no audio) will have scan lines and move by rather quickly but it is still a handy way to review and locate specific areas on a recording.
