Of all the things that can detract from the value of a Beta, fascia damage ranks as the highest. If an item is unattractive it simply can't make a favorable impression to a prospective owner. Missing doors, broken hinges, cracks, missing parts or missing buttons all add up to indicate that the unit just wasn't cared for very well in its lifetime. The saddest thing is replacement appearance items are just not available anymore from parts. This makes refurbishing machines in this condition even more of a challenge. Repairing front panels can be done as seen in the remaining two photos but the labor involved has to be factored in, and it therefor reduces the prospective trade in or purchase value of the machine. To get a better feel for assessing value, I have formulated a chart and it appears in the next panel. To go to the next panel click here. To go back to the previous page click here.
