Express tuning is the name of the channel locating method that replaced having separate tuners for VHF and UHF. On the VCR or remote pressing the channels button(s) accesses a preprogrammed channel directly. Using the up and down (▲▼) or plus and minus (+ / –) buttons steps through settings to find the desired channel. These functions can be duplicated or be available only when using the remote. All Betas received analog television (VHF and UHF which is still in use in some areas). Settings for both can be programmed into this model. Some tuners will also receive unscrambled cable channels (see model description). Receiving todays digital broadcasting using the tuner requires a dedicated converter. ©Misterßetamax go to homepage
