Ed Beta was the ultimate expression of picture performance. Sony created a demonstration tape for customer viewing in stores that displayed what ED Beta did best, record and play a stunning picture. This tape is shown here represented only partially in step frames. It opens with an industry standard test pattern, to show that ED Beta was capable of producing a minimum of 500 lines of resolution and a rock steady picture. The rest of the tape simply shows off sharp, colorful images of various subjects. Running time approximately ten minutes.
