All EDC-55 ED CAM units have one annoying design flaw. Over time the surface mounted capacitors on the various printed circuit boards leak liquid electrolyte, damaging the circuit traces and causing the unit to become unreliable and to fail. To correct (or prevent) this problem the unit has to be disassembled and a time consuming corrective repair must be done. All the EDC-55 units I sell have had this repair procedure done to them.
