Please take great pride in your purchase. You recognize the value of the Beta format and the joy of owning an example operating in tip-top condition. Every one of my refurbished units has been meticulously examined and thoroughly reconditioned so it meets or exceeds the standards necessary to restore its original quality. In addition, where needed, updates have been performed and modifications made to overcome known problem areas of design or function. To get you started enjoying your Beta I have inclosed a test cassette, and I encourage you to use this as your first trial run. The picture and sound quality of this cassette has little to do with the outstanding performance of which your Beta is capable. The tape is provided only for verification of operation and testing. Enclosed along with your bill of sale and warranty is a precautions sheet. Please take a moment to look this over. Pay special attention to the information concerning internal condensation. Putting a tape into a unit with moisture on the drum and/or path components can cause all kinds of tape spilling and shutdown problems. It is important that you avoid this undesirable event. This is a good time for me to mention the advantages of owning a soft-function tape winder. Save the delicate surface of your tapes and prolong the life of your machine; don't rewind your cassettes in it. For additional information on a winder and more, consult my Website. Definition of Refurbished

Some items found throughout my Site and offered for purchase are described as refurbished. These items, as so represented, are renewed or refurbished from a previously used condition. Merchandise listed as refurbished will be covered by the MisterBetamax warranty where applicable, unless otherwise stated. While every reasonable step has been taken to return these items to as close to new as possible, refurbished products may have blemishes, minor scratches, and/or other cosmetic flaws that are consistent with an item that has been previously owned. Mechanically and electronically (where applicable) refurbished items will be functional as new unless otherwise stated. Due to parts scarcity, some products may be sold as incomplete, that is, missing the manual or remote, etc. In these instances it will be so stated in the items description, pricing guide or at the time of order confirmation. If a substitution is to be made, such as a remote, etc. it will be so stated in the item's description or pricing. If special conditions apply, they will be so stated in the item's description, its pricing guide, or at the time of order confirmation.
