The repair and service history for this Beta has shown that over time the thermoplastic plastic loading and threading drive gear cracks. When this happens the gear shaft spins free and can no longer accept or eject a cassette. To prevent this from occurring all the drive gears in the units I sell have had this plastic gear replaced with brass. The planetary and sun gear assembly has also shown to break eventually so it too has been modified to discourage failure.
