The "B4" variation of the 711 chassis employs a capstan driven reel table. The cassette loader is motor driven and the entryway has a top hinged door. Tape threading is driven by a motor and transmission assembly. This type chassis is unique because the tape stays inside the cassette until a function is requested. Winding is performed inside the cassette with stop being detected by the capstan. There is no pause or scan available with this design chassis.
